Right now on the second-hand market eGPU prices with enclosures are slightly more than regular desktop GPU prices, whereas before the silicon shortage they were about double or triple the price. Thunderbolt eGPU prices (when coupled with an enclosure) are less inflated over their MSRP than standalone desktop GPU's are, mostly because they were expensive to start with as the price of the enclosure was added on top of the MSRP for the GPU itself.
